"FEED YOUR NEED" SUPPER
Every Tuesday night, we have a free supper. Called "Feed Your Need", anyone can come and get a hot meal. Some who join us need the food. Some who come need the fellowship. Whatever your need, come join us every Tuesday night, from 5-6 pm.
We are blessed to be a part of a coalition of churches and ministries that offer a hot meal every weekday here in McMinn County.
FOOD PANTRY
We have a small food pantry available to anyone in need of groceries. No paperwork, no fuss.
DRIVE-BY BBQ'S
During weather appropriate times, we drive into neighborhoods and housing projects, set up the grill and commence to cookin'! We grill hamburgers and hot dogs for the people there, pray with them, and leave.
SHOWERS AND FOOD FOR THE HOMELESS
We go out to pick up people who don't have a home, bring them to our church where they can get a hot shower and a hot meal.
ANGEL TREE
Every Christmas we participate in Prision Fellowship's Angel Tree program, where we buy presents for the children of prisoners, and have a big party to give the gifts and have fun with the children. We then stay in contact with the familes and the prisioner, and allow God to use us to change lives.
Sunday Morning Service
We start with great coffee, juice and bagels. No one gets dressed up-we wear jeans and t-shirts. We have tables and chairs like a coffeehouse, and even couches. No religious feel. Intimate and real. Friendly and a good atmosphere to build relationships.
We do all these things, not to feel good about ourselves or to say "look at us". We do them because this is what Jesus commands us in the Gospel to do. We do them out of our love and worship of God. We do them to show others that Jesus loves them, and He wants to have an intimate relationship with them.
Passionately loving God means Compassionately loving people.
